++
At present we have a Beaver Colony that meets on a Thursday. We welcome boys and girls aged 6 to 8 to join in with fun and games. Whilst their time with us is fun we do endeavour to teach them a wide variety of life-skills. We promote:
* fun and games
* friendship
* sharing and caring
Our beavers will get to know about themselves and other people. We can help them by being creative, exploring our surroundings, both locally and the wider world, and by caring for each other and other people.

What do Beaver Scouts Do?
Beaver Scouts activities are a combination of learning and having fun. The activities can range from making spaceships or monsters from scrap materials to visits to fun parks or zoos etc. Whilst doing these activities the Beaver will begin to enjoy him/herself and start to learn how to work by him/herself and in a team. After a few weeks of going to Colony meetings, a new Beaver Scout will make his first promise thereby becoming a member of the Beaver Scout Section, and a member of the World wide Scout Movement . When he has been with the colony for a further 6-8 months he will have gained his first badge and will continue receiving them. Beaver Scouting is also about caring and sharing. Beaver Scouts often help their community in various ways - stamp collecting, collecting pennies for people in need, planting bulbs in the park etc.

If you are interested in becoming a Beaver Scout and would like to join our Beaver Scouts Colony at 5th Sutton please see our Contact Us page for more information.
